
Following the introduction of new Executive Chef Daniel Roberts and an updated Mediterranean-inspired menu, CAFE del REY—Marina del Rey’s iconic seaside restaurant—celebrates all that’s new in 2011 with an exclusive, four-course tasting menu and wine pairing hosted by Domaine Chandon Wednesday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. ($65 per person). Winemakers Joel Burt and Tom Tiburzi will partner with Chef Roberts to showcase the unique wines that make up their winery’s signature sparkling blends, alongside seasonal dishes that highlight CAFE del REY’s array of fresh seafood and additional items from the restaurant’s all-new menu. Featured pairings will include select vintages of Domaine Chandon Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, as well as sparkling wines including the winery’s renowned Chandon Etoile Rose and Chandon Extra Dry Riche.
The evening will begin in CAFE del REY’s redesigned bar and lounge, featuring seasonal hors d‘oeuvres, sparkling wine, and an introduction to the winery by the winemakers. This will lead into dinner, accompanied by guided pairings from Burt and Tiburzi.
